From living in a group home for at-risk youth to becoming known as yoga’s modern day ambassador to the West, hiphop artist, MC YOGI is on a mission to introduce yoga to large, mainstream audiences. His latest album, RITUAL MYSTICAL (feat East Forest), made history by going #1 on the Electronic charts — Aug. 2016. In 2015, his ONLY LOVE IS REAL album debuted #12 Billboard Heatseekers + #24 iTunes Hiphop — featuring guest performances from Matisyahu, Trevor Hall, and Dominic Balli.
Recently, MC YOGI signed with HarperOne to release his first book, “Spiritual Graffiti” (SEPTEMBER 2017). In 2011, MC YOGI and his wife Amanda were named ambassadors by Michelle Obama for her “Lets Move” initiative and have taught yoga at the White House five times since. Additionally, they have performed and taught yoga at Stanford University, The Smithsonian, San Francisco Asian Art Museum, and Dallas Asian Art Museum.
